Thursday, February 11, 2016 – 6:30 p.m. – 8 p.m.

Hyde Park Community Center Auditorium

1179 River Street, Hyde Park, Boston 02136

At this meeting, the Massachusetts Department of Conservation and Recreation (DCR) will present, and obtain public input on, preliminary concepts for the reuse of the Thompson Center within the Stony Brook Reservation.  The goal of the project is to create a plan for the Thompson Center that will accommodate many uses, such as picnicking, nature walks, community gatherings and events, children’s play, and dog-walking.   Under DCR’s Partnership Matching Funds Program, the Dog Park Association of Southwest Boston and DCR have provided the funding for the project design.

The presentation will be viewable after the meeting on DCR’s website at

http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/dcr/public-outreach/public-meetings/ .   DCR will be welcoming  public comment on the preliminary concepts through Thursday, March 3, 2016.   Comments may be submitted online at http://www.mass.gov/eea/agencies/dcr/public-outreach/submit-public-comments/ or by mail addressed to the Department of Conservation and Recreation, Office of Public Outreach, 251 Causeway Street, Suite 600, Boston, MA 02114.
